Can HOA force you to tear down an outbuilding if we did not have approval at the time? Posted on June 28, 2011Can a HOA force you to tear down an outbuilding erected a year and a half ago that we did not ask for approval. HOA rejected the metal building we had put up on the back of our property to store our RV. It is a metal bldg. and the same color of our home, cannot be seen from the front of our home. They say we have to tear it down. Can they make us do that?
