Can a finance company make me pay for a vehicle they repossessed? Posted on August 04, 2011

About a year and a half ago the finance company repossessed my car. I spoke with a rep from the company the day it happened and explained that I was on maternity leave and that I didn't know when the check from the insurance company would be there. She said I had 2 days to pay or they were coming to get it. I told her I would try. They came that night. Now they are taking me to court for the entire remaining balance. Can they do that and will they win?
