Can employers see juvenile records on backrground checks? 6 Answers as of August 04, 2011

I am wondering if an employer does a background check on you, can they see your juvenile record? I was caught shoplifting when I was 13/14 and now I am 20 years old applying for an accounting internship. I was never convicted of the crime; I just had to complete a diversion program and pay fines. I know that under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, employers cannot see arrests (I got arrested) that did not result in conviction. I am worried sick. Can you tell me if juvenile records will show or not? I am in the process of sealing my records but it won't be sealed by the time an employer does a background check.
