Can action be taken against a union organization? 1 Answers as of August 11, 2011

I am a non-union subcontractor who was given an email to proceed on a project. However, since the email, the union sent a letter to the owner of the project stating that they were in dispute against us for not paying area standard wages. Our company was unaware of any dispute and we choose not to be union but feel the wages our company pays are more than reasonable in todays economy. Would just like to know if we can take any action against this union organization.

The Union's picketing may violate the National Labor Relations Act, depending upon what the signs say and the nature of the picketing. You will need to retain an experienced labor lawyer to assist you in this matter.
