Depends.... on any tax issue you need to consult with a lawyer. There are rules about when taxes are dischargeable. A competent lawyer will ask for tax transcripts. Do not hire a lawyer who does not ask for these.

If you are filing an amendment to a tax return you should be able to do that even though you have filed your bankruptcy. If you have not filed your bankruptcy, you might want to file the amendment first before you file the tax returns.
