Am I liable for mistakes that my deceased husband who was a tax preparer made? Posted on February 20, 2011

My spouse was a tax preparer I helped with scheduling, he died. Am I liable for any errors he made? He completed tax returns out of our home for many years. The client claims mistakes were made and is suing me for the fees to redo the tax return, the original tax return fee, and interest and penalties. $3,000 in small claims court.
