You are not a felon unless the D.A. charged you with an injury DUI. A simple second offense DUI is still a misdemeanor.

If the DUIs were both misdemeanors and have not otherwise suffered a felony conviction, you are not considered a felon. While you may have some difficulties with a background check, you should not be prohibited from buying a handgun.

In California, DUI convictions are considered as misdemeanors unless there was an accident resulting in great bodily injury or other aggravating circumstances.

Depends on whether they are felony DUIs. Remember as of January 1, your license can be suspended for 10 years if one of the priors is a felony.

You are only a felon if you are convicted of a felony. The third DUI can be a felony, if the DA files it as such and the defendant pleads to felony DUI. The second felony, if there are no injuries, is a misdemeanor. What did you plead to? If not a felony, then you have no felony consequences.

You're not a felon if your two DUIs were standard ones. The only way a DUI can be a felony is if there are injuries as the result of a collision or if you have three priors within 10 years. You should be eligible to purchase a firearm. If you want to check yourself before you go try to make the purchase, you can do a firearms eligibility check on yourself through the Department of Justice (DOJ).

You are still able to buy a handgun with 2 dui's so long as you did not have a felony dui or any restrictions relating to guns. Most likely, you are able to buy a handgun.

If your DUI convictions were only misdemeanors, then no, they would not change to a felony simply because there are 2 convictions. Most 1st and 2nd offense DUI's are misdemeanors, Unless there was an accident causing bodily injury on one or both of the DUI's.
