What would happen if I go to the court to try and resolve a case on my own? 4 Answers as of February 17, 2012
I have 2 fta for HS M11357(B) from 2004. What would happen if I go to the court to try to resolve on my own? I was promise by the officer that if I answered all questions and cooperated, he would release me and it wouldn't appear on my record. The 2nd fta went to court to resolve in 2010 and I pleaded not guilty and went to the court house when requested and checked in but had to leave. Going to court to recall the warrants, good idea. Going by yourself would give an unpleasant twist to "priceless". Get an attorney.

These failure to appears may get treated severely by the Judge (on top of the actual charge). I would recommend contacting an attorney to assist you in handling this case to mitigate any potential consequences and help resolve the underlying charge favorably.

The answer to your question, is it depends on what county, what judge, what DA is involved. However, you do need to deal with these matters one way or the other. I would encourage you to either ask for court appointed counsel or hire counsel, as given your track record it would be more difficult for you to resolve on your own.

The officer completely fooled you. Show up to court by yourself and you risk being taken into custody. An attorney can appear for you without you being there.
