Ms. Theiler attended Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania for her undergraduate education, where she received a B.A. for her major of Government and Law and qualified for minors in both German and Religious Studies. While in college, Ms. Theiler was voted President of the Lafayette Communications Union for two years, served as Coordinator for the Prospective Student Hosting program for two years, and both participated in and oversaw many of the college’s volunteer programs through the Landis Community Outreach Center, including English as a Second Language and Prison Tutoring. Seeing a need for the same, Ms. Theiler also proposed, had approved, launched, implemented and ran a new outreach program which delivered meals directly to homeless and other underprivileged members of the community.
Ms. Theiler attended law school following the completion of her undergraduate degree, completing her graduate schooling at Rutgers School of Law – Camden. While in law school Ms. Theiler continued to commit herself to serving her school and the surrounding community in leadership positions. Ms. Theiler participated in the Rutgers Domestic Violence Project and the Rutgers Domestic Violence Clinic, both of which provide free legal assistance to victims of domestic violence seeking protection from their abusers through Final Restraining Orders who cannot afford an attorney. Ms. Theiler excelled in the same and, as a result, was invited to and accepted participation in the Advanced Domestic Violence Clinic. As a result of these efforts, in 2007 Rutgers School of Law recognized Ms. Theiler’s accomplishments by awarding her the Lisa and Kolin Pimental Award for excellence in the study of domestic violence law and a Pro Bono Award.
Ms. Theiler joins in the founding of Theiler & Mourtos LLC from her employment at a prestigious northern New Jersey family law litigation firm where she worked directly under the managing partner. Ms. Theiler’s dedication to her clients, superior work ethic, ability to manage office staff, litigation performance and other skills caused her to rise to the level of senior associate, the highest employee position within the firm, within two years of beginning her employment. Ms. Theiler brings those same passions, energies and talents to the founding of Theiler & Mourtos LLC.
