Simon was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and is fluent in spanish. After graduating from the Colegio Internacional de Caracas, Simon came to Texas and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Economics in 1995 from the University of Houston. Simon then obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1998. While at South Texas, Simon was on various national moot court teams as an oralist and brief writer. Simon was also the editor-in-chief of Currents: Intl Trade Law J.
After graduation, Simon served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Harris County District Attorney’s office in Houston, Texas. In 1999, Simon joined, and eventually became a partner and shareholder of Brin & Brin, P.C. In 2007, Simon teamed with two previous partners and formed Anthony, Peterson & Purnell, L.L.P.
Simon is admitted to practice before the state courts of Texas as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Corpus Christi Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA).
