David Brengle is a criminal defense and DWI/DUI defense attorney from St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Brengle received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Connecticut College, graduating with honors and distinction in his major of English. While at Connecticut College, Mr. Brengle studied abroad at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England and upon graduating, went on to attend New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. After law school, Mr. Brengle returned to the St. Louis area and began his legal career practicing criminal defense.
Mr. Brengle is certified by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (IACP/NHTSA) to administer field sobriety tests; this is the same training most police use when they conduct roadside tests on DWI/DUI suspects.
Mr. Brengle continued in field sobriety test training and completed training to become a NHTSA Field Sobriety Test Instructor, which is the highest level of training for DWI/DUI alcohol-related field sobriety tests. There are less than ten attorneys in all of Missouri who have this level of training in field sobriety tests. Mr. Brengle has more training in field sobriety tests than most law enforcement personnel making DWI/DUI arrests.
Mr. Brengle has received recognition for attending the National College of DUI Defenses Summer Session at Harvard University, and he is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
