About Me

Ms. Denhardt, a Salt Lake City lawyer, graduated from the University of Utah (S.J. Quinney) College of Law in 1991. Upon graduating she began her career as a Trial Attorney in the Misdemeanor Division of Salt Lake Legal Defender Association because of her interest in trial practice and, in particular, criminal defense.

After two years, Ms. Denhardt was moved to the Felony Division as a Trial Attorney where she practiced until 2001. During this ten-year period Ms. Denhardt managed a considerable caseload and acquired a great deal of trial experience. She represented people charged with crimes of violence: assault, aggravated assault, domestic battery, and homicide. She represented people charged with white collar offenses: insurance fraud; and employment fraud. Ms. Denhardt represented people charged with every other type of felony offense including: drug offenses; fraud; and theft.

In 2001 Ms. Denhardt accepted a position as a Staff Attorney for the Utah Court of Appeals. In that position she drafted per curium decisions for the court. These are decisions that do not require formal opinions because they deal with matters of reasonably well settled law or procedure. Staff Attorneys also help determine what type of treatment cases will be received by the Court. For example, whether the case will be handled by a formal opinion, a per curium decision, or simply an order. Staff Attorneys become experts on appeal procedure. This experience has been a benefit to our clients because we can provide the best representation to our clients not only at the trial level, but also if an appeal is needed. Ms. Denhardts knowledge of appeal procedure, practice, and personal rapport with the Appeal Court staff are all beneficial to our clients.

In 2005 Ms. Denhardt began her own practice in order to provide the best legal representation at a reasonable rate. Since then she has become one of Salt Lake City’s respectable DUI lawyers. Ms. Denhardt, through her practice, has become very aware that attorneys fees have reached a point where average people simply cannot afford to hire a competent attorney. Ms. Denhardt firmly believes that it is not necessary to charge such high fees and she is committed to working hard to see that her fees remain reasonable and affordable to average people.
