On the criminal defense side, in addition to private criminal representation, Devra currently acts as assigned counsel for Grant County juvenile court, and has previously performed public defense for the Renton Municipal Court. In her civil law practice, Devra focuses primarily on employment law (both preventive counseling and employment litigation), as well as general litigation and immigration.
The practice of Devra includes representing clients in alternative dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. Devra is licensed in state and federal courts in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
On the civil litigation side, Devra regularly represents clients before administrative agencies and state and federal court. In her position immediately prior to forming Sigle Law PLLC, Devra concentrated her practice on employment defense litigation in Portland, Oregon. Prior to that, she practiced law in Spokane, Washington at the law firm of Paine Hamblen, primarily in general civil litigation with occasional criminal defense matters.
On the preventive side, Devra offers an innovative service to her employer clients that allows them unrestricted access to her for advice in all aspects of employment relations in order to avoid employment lawsuits, including but not limited to issues related to wage and hour compliance, discrimination, wrongful discharge, disability and leave laws, and implementing effective personnel policies and best practices, as well as assistance with employee training, human resources self-audits and internal investigations.
Devra Hermosilla has a practice that focuses on employment law and civil litigation, immigration and criminal defense. Devra represents her clients in the defense of misdemeanor and felony criminal charges, including plea negotiations, arraignments, motion practice, bench and jury trials.
