I am a native Huntsvillian. My grandfather, Oscar Holderer, was on the Von Braun Rocket Team from Germany. My mother was CEO of Lampi, Inc, an international fluorescent lighting manufacturing company with its primary U.S. operations in Madison County. During high school I was able to assist Lampi in some projects including quality control issues, interfacing with customers, and designing their trade show booth to go to the National Hardware Show. I graduated from Huntsville High School in 1999.
I went to University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) where I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Management in three years. (May 2002). Then I came back to Huntsville and married C. Steven LaMar. I practiced real estate here with Steven and his father Craig S. LaMar, Sr. at Coldwell Banker PREMIER. However, I found that selling houses lacked the intellectual stimulation I craved. So I went to law school at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. During law school I had the opportunity to work with Leigh Daniels & Associates as a law clerk and at Bayer Properties as an intern. I graduated from Cumberland and then passed my bar exam in July 2008.
Outside of practicing law I have been involved in local community theatre. I have served as an usher at Broadway Theatre League productions, worked behind stage with Theatre Huntsville as a costumer, and am helping them through my work on Theatre Huntsville’s marketing committee. However, I have been most heavily involved with Fantasy Children’s Theatre, working both backstage and serving on their board. Currently I am serving as the producer for Fantasys upcoming show, Cinderella. I am also involved with the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association and have served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Young Lawyers Section over this past year.
