Ms. Downey is a Certified Specialist by the South Carolina Supreme Court in Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Law and Board Certified by American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy. Attorney Downey's clients include banks, financial institutions, used car dealers, other corporations, sole proprietorships and individual consumers. Attorney Downey has held offices in the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association. Ms. Downey is also the current Chair of the Bankruptcy & Debtor-Creditor Law Specialization Advisory Board. Ms. Downey is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Attorney Downey addresses a wide range of litigation which varies from domestic matters arising from a bankruptcy filing to preference actions and claims litigation.
