During law school, Brian received awards for receiving the top grades in the areas of criminal law, civil procedure, trial practice, California Evidence, and legal writing. In 2011, Brian Mason begin working as an expert legal correspondent for radio talk show hosts around the county, including KCBQ 1170 AM and KPRZ 1210 AM. Brian Mason received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminal Deviance from the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon. While receiving his undergraduate degree he worked part time for an industrial contractor and part time at the county jail and courthouse. After his undergraduate work, Brian Mason received his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating in the top percentage of his class. Brian has appeared in California State and Federal courts hundreds of times on multiple Criminal Defense, Bankruptcy, and Personal Injury, cases. During law school Brian spent two years working as a Law Clerk at a Bankruptcy law firm and more than two years working as Mercury Insurance Corporations in-house law clerk. In 2007, Brian received a Pro-Bono Honors Award for volunteering more than 300 hours of legal service to help defend criminal defendants in multiple first degree homicide cases. In November of 2009, Brian was invited to lecture at the University of San Diego in the Masters in Business/Executive Leadership program. His lectured related to the areas of Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Law. He has also been invited to speak in front of many realtors and mortgage brokers, as well as the general public throughout San Diego County. Currently, Brian is an active member of the State Bar of California, the California Young Lawyers Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association in San Diego County, the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, the California Bankruptcy Forum, the American Association for Justice, and the International Sociological Honors Society. In this capacity, Brian was on the inside of the insurance company, learning their strategies and defenses in defending against personal injury lawsuits.
