About Me

Billy Healan has devoted his practice almost exclusively to criminal defense. He handles everything from speeding tickets to murder cases. A large portion of his practice is devoted to DUI defense. Billy Healan has been interested in criminal defense since law school, after having interned at the UGA legal aid clinic. As a third year law student, Billy Healan had the opportunity to try various criminal cases, including jury trials. Healan Law Offices has been in business in the Winder (Barrow County) area of Georgia since 1975. Healan Law Offices began in 1975 when William D. Healan, Jr. (Bill) graduated from the University of Georgia school of law. Although Bill Healan had various partners and associates over the years, the firm took its current form when his son, William D. Healan, III (Billy) graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1996. Mr. Healan has numerous reported appellate cases to his credit. He has gained the respect of the legal community, being voted as a rising star in Super Lawyers Magazine four times from 2005-2010.
