Hans Burgos received his law degree in 1987 from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. In 1988 he became a Federal Prosecutor after joining the U.S. Department of Justice under the Attorney General’s National Honor Program. As a trial attorney for eleven years, Mr. Burgos represented the United States in deportation proceedings conducted before immigration courts in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, New York and Washington, DC. In 1999 he went into private practice and established the law firm of Burgos & Sosa focusing on immigration law. Mr. Burgos is a top (AV) rated attorney and admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, in Florida and in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
